Our committee is a passionate group West Coast Cowan supporters and players alike, who come together on a regular basis to ensure the smooth running of the club on a week by week basis as well as structuring the clubs administration to contiually grow the club to be the best in the WAAFL competition.
Isaak Dury – President
Isaak came to West Coast Cowan in early 2001 having never played a game of football before, he soon warmed to the club, and warmed to the game after learning to kick! Playing in two grand final sides and winning the C Grade Premiership have been the highlights of his West Coast Cowan on-field success. Isaak also played for the New York Magpies and the Victorian Collegians sides where he picked up further valuable administration insight as to how other amatuer football clubs performed and evolved.
Isaak continues to concentrate on making West Coast Cowan the strongest club in the WAAFL competition with a strong belief that on-field success is only as likely as the off-field administration will allow. Long term growth, financial security and new club rooms are on the immediate agenda list for his term.
Sam Birmingham – Vice President
An ex-Hale student, Sam was always more interested in the off-field administration side than the playing, his continued drive to get things done at City Beach has an obvious correlation with the amount of recent success West Coast Cowan has experienced in recent years. His time and efforts have come to the fore most recently with interacting with the WAAFL on a wide range of issues, along with helping form the West Coast Sporting Association and help drive the Clubroom re-development.
Away from football Sam has produced a number of entrepreneurial enterprises, and most recently joined iinet as a Business Analyst.
Scott Garvey – Vice President
Ben Pervan – Treasurer
I joined West Coast Cowan in 1999 and I came from the West Coast Junior footy club of which I had been involved with since 1992 (Started playing footy).
After winning a premiership in 2001 for the B Reserves team Ben headed for a stint in London, on his return he discovered he was wiser, but also older, and slower however somehow maintains a role in the League team. Ben’s responsibility is to try and reduce the elaborate spending habits of the President.
Away from the football oval Ben is a Development Manager for Peet Limited who specialises in the delivery of subdivisions/estates in WA. Ben, who is scratch golfer would have joined the pro tour, but chose to focus on his career (just ask him!).
Cain Pennington – Secretary
